Our valuation services cover both desktop appraisals, based on our extensive market knowledge, as well as onboard inspections to make complete assessments of ships’ overall conditions.

Our team
Lars Hallengren
Broker / Managing Director
Lars Hallengren, Managing Director and Partner, is a Master Mariner, also having studied Industrial Marketing. He has previously sailed as Second and Chief Officer. In 1996 he continued his career ashore, adding experiences as Head of Operations and as Director of a ship brokerage to his résumé. Lars was recruited to Brax Shipping in 2008.
Max Wilhelmson Thörn
Broker
Max is a Master Mariner who has sailed as a Chief Officer. In 2017 Max took an advanced diploma in ship sale and purchase with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and completed his internship with Brax Shipping. He has also worked for Maersk Line at the Scandinavian HQ before once again returning to Brax as a broker in 2019.
Tebogo Mabiletsa
Broker
Tebogo Mabiletsa holds a MSc in Maritime Affairs where he specialised in Shipping Management & Logistics. Previously he worked as a head of operations within a transport & logistics company he co-founded in South Africa. In February 2022 he joined Brax Shipping as a trainee broker to challenge himself and deepen his knowledge and perspective on shipbroking and shipping at large. Excited about the opportunity he looks forward to exploring what lies ahead and develop his skills with the intention of being well-versed with the industry.

Brax Shipping was founded in 1982 by Mr. Sven-Olof Brax.
Sven-Olof is a Sea Captain and a Master of Economics and Business Administration. He has experience from many years at sea, as well as from positions as Marketing and Operations Manager and Managing Director within Johnson Line, Transatlantic, Thunrederierna and the Johansson Group.
