The 30.2-metre Cantieri Navali Rizzardi motor yacht Why has run aground on the beach in Spetses town in Greece. The incident occurred following a period of strong winds over the
past few hours. According to protothema.gr the captain attempted to leave the highly exposed main town pier and was blown onto the beach, no one was injured during the incident.
According to local reports, a floating crane has now arrived to remove the yacht from the beach and take her to a shipyard for repairs. Efforts to protect the yacht from further
damage were made additionally complicated by the continued winds. Videos taken by local witnesses show that the bow has been damaged in the incident, as the yacht was pushed
against the stone pier and according to reports, the yacht has been taking on water, which is now being pumped with assistance from the Coast Guard.

New Launch
The 118.8-metre flagship Feadship 821 superyacht has been launched from the Amsterdam facility in the Netherlands, with the SuperYacht Times team in attendance. Project 821 is
currently being offered for sale by Edmiston.The steel and aluminium superyacht is the largest yacht to be built by Feadship, and the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht.
Construction began on Feadship Project 821 in 2019, with the secretive yacht spotted in transit to her final build hall in April 2022.

After attending MEDYS 2024, the 47-metre superyacht Africa I was observed yesterday anchored here in Kyparissi, Greece. Constructed by the Italian shipyard Benetti in 2010, Africa
I, previously named Imagination, underwent a significant refit in 2021, which included a modern overhaul of her interiors. The motor yacht features naval architecture by the
Benetti team, while her exteriors were completed by Stefano Natucci and her interiors by Zuretti Interior Design. In terms of accommodations, the three-deck yacht can host up to 12
guests across six staterooms, comprising a full-beam master suite on the main deck. Propelled by two MTU engines, she can comfortably cruise at a speed of 20 knots and reach a top
speed of 24 knots. Having previously been chartered by celebrities such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Africa I is currently available for charter in the East Mediterranean with IYC.

Spotted last week anchored here in Ōpūnohu Bay, French Polynesia, was the 52.8-metre superyacht Helios 3, originally named Arianna. Constructed at the Delta Marine shipyard in
Seattle in 2012, the custom-built yacht was designed by Delta Design Group, who were responsible for both her interior and exterior design. Her interior stands out with her
Polynesian-inspired design, featuring rare tropical hardwoods, organic fabrics, and colourful blown glass. Her notable amenities include a large owner's suite on the upper deck
with a private outdoor deck, along with a separate gym, sauna, and private office equipped with an antique safe. Performance wise, the motor yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar
3512B diesel engines, reaching a maximum of 16.9 knots, with a range of 5000 nautical miles for transoceanic travel

Currently docked here in Muttrah marina, Oman, is the Royal yacht Fulk Al Salamah. Delivered in 2016 after a three-year construction period by Mariotti, the motor yacht measures
164-metres, making her the world's second-largest yacht by length as of today. Built with a steel hull and superstructure, Fulk Al Salamah features a sophisticated exterior
designed by Studio de Jorio. While Fulk Al Salamah supports the 155-metre Lürssen superyacht Al Said, categorising her as a support vessel is challenging since she also serves as a

Seen docked here in Nafplio, Greece, during the Mediterranean Yacht Show 2024, is the 73.5-metre superyacht Lady Vera. Previously known as Sapphire, Lady Vera, built by Nobiskrug
in 2011 as part of the Nobiskrug 73 model, has recently undergone maintenance work in Perama, Greece. The motor yacht 's design, crafted by Newcruise, is characterised by high
ceilings and large windows that flood the interior with natural light. The 1,591 GT yacht features amenities including a hydraulically retractable 'touch and go' helicopter landing
pad, a beach club with a cabana lounge and sauna, a cinema room and a Jacuzzi on the sundeck. Lady Vera is powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M60 diesel engines giving her a top speed of
17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. She is currently available for charter with Parsifal Yachting.

A few days prior to the Palma International Boat Show 2024, the 33.7-metre motor yacht Dona Amélia II, previously known as Spada, was seen anchored here in Palma, Spain. Delivered
in 1998 by Royal Hakvoort Shipyard, the yacht's exterior was designed by De Vries Lentsch and her interior penned by Ken Freivokh Design, combining a steel hull with an aluminium
superstructure for durability. With a volume of 271 GT, Dona Amélia II offers accommodations for up to 10 guests across four well-appointed staterooms. Performance-wise, the motor
yacht is equipped with two Caterpillar diesel engines, each producing 481 horsepower, allowing her to reach a top speed of 11.5 knots

Project Toro is the first in a series from Turquoise Yachts based on an in-house engineering platform that offers clients faster delivery times combined with ample opportunity for
customisation. Now in the outfitting stage, we travelled to the shipyard in Istanbul to visit the project before her launch later this year.
Project Toro began in classic fashion with a charter client looking for a pre-owned yacht to buy. His long-term broker, Simon Ting of SuperYachtsMonaco, marked a potential 60-metre
candidate and designers Harrison Eidsgaard were brought in to assess the interior for refit.
After discussions with the client, however, it was felt the yacht wasn’t ticking the right boxes and the focus changed to a new build. Armed with a preliminary exterior and
interior design by Harrison Eidsgaard, Ting began the search for a suitable shipyard.
“We initially focused on northern Europe, but this was during Covid, slots were scarce and prices were going

When Rob Doyle Design in Kinsale, Ireland, received a call from the largest sloop in the world saying the yacht had lost the tip of its keel off the coast of Peru, the team had to
set in motion a repair job from the other side of the world. Mark Small, Technical Director at Rob Doyle Design, recounts how it was done.On 12 May 2022, we received a call from
the captain of 77.6-metre M5 saying they had collided with a submerged object while sailing off the coast of Peru. The yacht had slowed significantly, but the impact was nothing
like hitting a container. The crew concluded it was probably a freak encounter with a whale.
They undertook a full internal inspection around the keel box, hydraulic locking rams and locking shims. There was no apparent damage to any part of the structure or fittings, so
M5 continued sailing into Lima and arrived the
